The Regulations on Master's Degree Training issued together with Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDDT stipulate that the recruitment methods for master's degree training include: admission exams for Vietnamese nationals and application reviews for foreigners wishing to study for a master's degree in Vietnam. The number of recruitment sessions and the specific locations for organizing recruitment are as follows:

The recruitment for master's degree training is organized a maximum of 2 times per year. The head of the training institution, based on the learning needs and the actual situation of the institution, determines the number of recruitment sessions, the recruitment periods for the following year, and reports to the Ministry of Education and Training in December each year (report template in Appendix I).

The location for organizing the admission exams is the headquarters of the training institution as stated in the registration documents for opening a training program and must be inspected and verified by the competent authority to meet the practical conditions ensuring the training quality according to regulations before being allowed to open a master's degree program. Organizing the admission exams outside the stipulated location must be approved by the Minister of Education and Training.

Note: The training institution's regulations on recruitment methods, number of recruitment sessions, recruitment periods within the year, and the location for organizing recruitment must be published on the training institution's website.

More details can be found in Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, effective from July 01, 2014.
