Specialized veterinary management agencies in Vietnam shall conduct veterinary sanitation inspection

Following specialized veterinary management agencies in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as the Inspection Agency) shall conduct veterinary sanitation inspections:

(1) Department of Animal Health: Export facilities; mixed facilities for export and domestic consumption; mixed facilities for export and import;

(2) Regional Sub-Departments of Animal Health, Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Departments under the Department of Animal Health: Import facilities; mixed import and domestic consumption facilities in provinces and centrally governed cities. To be specific:

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health I: Ha Noi, Hoa Binh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Son La, Yen Bai.

(Compared to the current classification, Lai Chau and Dien Bien are transferred to the Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Department of Lao Cai.)

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health II: Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen.

(Compared to the current classification, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Bac Giang are transferred to the Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Department of Lang Son.)

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health III: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue.

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health IV: Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Dinh.

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health V: Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Dak Nong.

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health VI: Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre.

Regional Sub-Department of Animal Health VII: Can Tho, Hau Giang, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Dong Thap, An Giang, Soc Trang, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau.

Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Department of Quang Ninh: Quang Ninh.

Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Department of Lang Son: Lang Son, Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang.

Regional Animal Quarantine Sub-Department of Lao Cai: Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Lai Chau.

(3) The provincial-level veterinary specialized management agency: Facilities not falling under item (1) and (2).

Circular 15/2024/TT-BNNPTNT becomes effective from January 6, 2024.
