On August 12, 2024, the Minister of Transport of Vietnam issued Circular 30/2024/TT-BGTVT amending Circular 16/2021/TT-BGTVT on technical safety and environmental protection inspection of road motor vehicles and Circular 03/2018/TT-BGTVT on the regulations for the inspection of technical safety and environmental protection for imported automobiles subject to Decree 116/2017/ND-CP.
The Prime Minister of Vietnam requires the addition of mandatory regulations concerning warning devices for cases where vehicles encounter problems and need to stop or park temporarily for each type of road vehicle.
From January 01, 2025, the rules for overtaking and giving way to overtaking vehicles from January 01, 2025 will be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety 2024.
