Basic economy class passenger transportation service price range from March 1, 2024 in Vietnam

Basic economy class passenger transportation service price is the service price passengers must pay for travel in the economy class of an aircraft for a service class that meets the basic requirements of the majority of passengers on the flight from ground service to air service.

The price range for basic economy-class passenger transportation services from March 1, 2024, is as follows:

- Flight distance less than 500 km:

+ Socio-economic development flight route group: 1,600,000 (VND/one-way ticket).

+ Other flight routes under 500 km: 1,700,000 (VND/one-way ticket).

- Flight distance from 500 km to less than 850 km: 2,250,000 (VND/one-way ticket).

- Flight distance from 850 km to less than 1,000 km: 2,890,000 (VND/one-way ticket).

- Flight distance from 1,000 km to less than 1,280 km: 3,400,000 (VND/one-way ticket).

- Flight distance from 1,280 km or more: 4,000,000 (VND/one-way ticket).

In there:

- Flight distance is the distance determined according to common flight distance, including the distance of climbing to altitude, circling to enter the airway, flying on the airway, descending altitude, and circling to approach and land.

- The group of socio-economic development routes is composed of routes with a distance of less than 500km, flying to remote areas and island borders, and operated by only one airline.

- The maximum service price includes all costs the passenger must pay for 01 airline ticket, except for the following fees:

+ Value added tax;

+ Fees collected on behalf of businesses providing passenger terminal services and security services, including: passenger service prices and passenger and luggage security prices;

+ Service fees for additional items.

Circular 34/2023/TT-BGTVT takes effect on March 1, 2024.
