On January 23, 2025, the Steering Committee of Vietnam for the summarization of the implementation of Resolution 18 of the Government of Vietnam issued Document 35/CV-BCDTKNQ18 regarding the completion of plans to streamline and reorganize the organizational structure, in which the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is assigned to proactively guide the implementation of the plan to reorganize district-level public security agencies.
According to Conclusion 121, the Central Committee of Vietnam approved the plan to streamline and reorganize the organizational structure, in which it agreed not to establish public security forces at the district level.
