Draft Decree stipulating the retirement age and eligibility for pension benefits
This Draft Decree specifies that the retirement age of employees under ordinary working conditions shall be adjusted according to a schedule. From 2021, the retirement age under ordinary working conditions will be 60 years and 03 months for male employees and 55 years and 04 months for female employees; thereafter, each year will increase by 03 months for male employees until reaching 62 years in 2028 and increase by 04 months for female employees until reaching 60 years in 2035.
The adjustment schedule for the retirement age of employees in Vietnam as specified above is implemented according to the following table:
