Currently, the Ministry of Home Affairs is drafting a Circular guiding certain contents on specialized inspection in the field of belief and religion.

For cases where an individual is assigned inspection duties at the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Home Affairs or the Department of Home Affairs, they must meet the following standards:
- Fulfill the criteria for Inspectors as stipulated in Decree 97/2011/ND-CP;- Be trained in management skills regarding state administration of beliefs and religions.
For individuals assigned inspection duties at the Religious Affairs Committee of the Government of Vietnam, they must be officials on the payroll of the Religious Affairs Committee of the Government of Vietnam, meeting the standards according to the rank of the official they hold and the following criteria:
- Have a deep understanding of the law, possess a university degree or higher in relevant fields;- Have at least 02 years of experience in state administration of religion, possess professional skills in inspection work, and be trained in state administration of beliefs and religions.
