To promote budget collection through electronic invoices for petroleum products during Tet in Vietnam

On December 15, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Directive 30/CT-TTg Strengthen measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Lunar New Year 2024 in order to drastically implement the Directive 26-CT/TW in 2023 of the Secretariat on organizing the Year of the Dragon in 2024; Prepare well the conditions to serve the people to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Year of Dragon joyfully, healthily, safely and economically; Promote the recovery and development of production and business in all fields by the end of 2023 and the Lunar New Year.

To promote budget collection through e-invoices for petroleum products during Tet in Vietnam

The Prime Minister has requested the Ministry of Finance to chair and coordinate with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities in implementing the following major tasks:

- Monitor closely the price developments and the market, especially essential goods and services and items subject to price stabilization, and promptly direct and take strict measures to handle violations of price regulations within the authority. If necessary, promptly report to the Head of the Steering Committee for Price Management on emerging issues that affect price levels and macroeconomic stability.

- Coordinate closely with relevant agencies to strengthen inspections and control against smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeit goods, low-quality goods, and goods of unknown origin, especially during the year-end and Lunar New Year period; focus on strict inspections and patrols at key routes and areas; illegal import goods and counterfeit goods tend to increase during Tet (such as explosives, firecrackers, weapons, environmentally hazardous goods, cigarettes, alcohol, poultry, food, etc.).

- Promote budget collection, especially through electronic invoices for items such as gasoline and food. Tighten control over state budget expenditures, public debt, and public assets; timely release national reserves in accordance with regulations to ensure social security, especially in areas affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods; and prevent people from suffering from hunger during the Lunar New Year and the harvest season.
