Policies for compensation for persons conducting competition proceedings at hearings in Vietnam from April 1, 2025

Article 3 of Decision 04/2025/QD-TTg has stipulated the compensation policies for persons conducting competition proceedings, experts, interpreters, and witnesses at hearings as follows:

- The Chairman of the Competition Case Handling Council is compensated 150,000 VND/day.

- Members of the Competition Case Handling Council, investigators of the competition case participating in the hearing, and the hearing secretary are compensated 100,000 VND/person/day.

- Experts invited by the Competition Case Handling Council are compensated 100,000 VND/person/day.

- Interpreters invited by the Competition Case Handling Council for interpretation at the hearing are entitled to compensation policies according to the regulations on translation cost in hospitality policies for foreign guests and expenditure on organizing international conferences and seminars in Vietnam.

- Witnesses summoned by the Competition Case Handling Council to the hearing are compensated 100,000 VND/person/day.

Compensation regime for persons conducting competition proceedings during the investigation process of competition cases in Vietnam

The compensation regime for persons conducting competition proceedings, experts, interpreters, and witnesses during the investigation process of competition cases is as follows:

- Investigators of the competition case are compensated 80,000 VND/person/day during the time assigned to investigate the competition case.

- Interpreters summoned or invited by the Competition Case Investigation Agency to participate in work sessions during the investigation process of competition cases are entitled to compensation policies according to the regulations on translation cost in hospitality policies for foreign guests and expenditure on organizing international conferences and seminars in Vietnam.

- Experts and witnesses summoned or invited by the Competition Case Investigation Agency to participate in work sessions during the investigation process of competition cases are compensated 100,000 VND/person/day.
