The job description for senior labor and salary specialists in Vietnam is as follows:

- Job position objective: Lead in advising and proposing policies, tasks, and solutions in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations under the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector; take charge of guiding and inspecting implementation as assigned.

- Specific tasks:

+ Presiding over research, building, and perfecting institutions or legal documents, guidelines, policies, and documents under authority promulgating in the field of labor, wages, and labor relations nationwide or at the provincial and district levels under the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector.

+ Preside over the organization of the compilation and development of professional guidance documents; Organizing specialized training, professional development, or disseminating knowledge and experience in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations is the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector.

+ Advise competent authorities to guide the implementation of Decrees, resolutions, decisions, and directives of the Government and the Prime Minister in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations under the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector.

+ Advise on the development of plans, strategies, policies, laws, projects, and schemes in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations, and organize the implementation of policies and regulations of the Government, Laws on labor, wages, and labor relations.

+ Develop and implement individual annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly work plans.

+ Appraise projects at provincial, city, ministerial, and state levels in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations under the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector.

+ Preside over research topics, projects, and scientific research projects at ministerial and provincial levels to innovate and improve management mechanisms, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and State laws on labor, wages, and labor relations are the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector.

+ Attend meetings related to professional fields inside and outside the agency as assigned.

+ Attend unit meetings and agency meetings as prescribed.

+ Monitor, collect information, compile statistics, and synthesize relevant data in implementing policies on labor, wages, and labor relations.

+ Coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations at the Central and local levels in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations under the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector.

+ Check the implementation of policies and laws in the fields of labor, wages, and labor relations under the responsibility of the Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs sector; propose directions and measures to handle and adjust.
