What are regulations on admission confirmation upon university admission in 2024 in Vietnam?

Based on Article 21 of the University and College Admissions Regulations in the field of Preschool Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, regulations on admission confirmation for university admissions 2024 are as follows:

- Training institutions send admission notices to the successful candidates, clearly stating the necessary procedures for enrollment and the methods of enrollment.

- Candidates confirm their enrollment online before enrolling at the training institution.

- For candidates who do not confirm their enrollment within the prescribed period:

+ If without a justifiable reason, they will be considered as declining enrollment, and the training institution has the right not to accept them;

+ If due to illness or accidents, with a certificate from a district-level hospital or higher, or due to natural disasters with certification from the district-level People's Committee or higher, the training institution may consider accepting the candidate or deferring their admission result for future enrollment;

+ If due to mistakes by admission officers or the candidates themselves, the training institution will cooperate with related individuals and organizations to review the evidence and decide on the acceptance of the candidate or deferring the admission result for future enrollment.

- Candidates who have confirmed enrollment at one institution are not allowed to participate in admissions at other places or in additional admissions, unless permitted by the training institution.

What are regulations on registration and additional admissions in Vietnam?

Based on Article 22 of the University and College Admissions Regulations in the field of Preschool Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on organizing registration and additional admissions are as follows:

- Based on the admission quota and the number of enrolled candidates for each program, the admissions council of the training institution will decide on additional admissions. The training institution will announce the plans for additional admission, the methods, and registration forms for these rounds; the admission conditions for each program according to each method, but not lower than the conditions of the previous round.

- Candidates who have not been admitted or have been admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere can register for additional admissions according to the plans and guidelines of the training institution.

- At the end of each admission round, the training institution will announce the admission scores (and any additional conditions, if any) for each program on their website; enable candidates to check their individual admission results; send admission notices and guidelines to successful candidates for enrollment.

* Based on the Plan for University Admissions, College Admissions in the field of Preschool Education for 2024 issued with Decision 1139/QD-BGDDT in 2024, the time for additional admissions, updating the list of successful candidates and enrollment is from September to December 2024.

The period for universities to announce additional admissions will start from August 28, 2024.
