What are procedures for withdrawal from the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education?
Based on Article 11 of the Charter (amended and supplemented) of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education approved under Decision 275/QD-BNV of 2022, the procedures for requesting withdrawal from the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education are as follows:
Step 1: Members wishing to withdraw from the Association must submit an application to the Standing Committee of the Association for review and decision;
Step 2: For Executive Board members wishing to withdraw from the Association, they must submit an application to the Executive Board and report at the nearest Executive Board meeting. The Executive Board will review and decide;
Step 3: Before withdrawing from the Association, Executive Board members and members must hand over their responsibilities, physical assets, and finances under their charge to the organization or individual assigned by the Executive Board;
Step 4: Executive Board members who do not attend three consecutive Executive Board meetings without a valid reason will be automatically removed from the Executive Board list while still being responsible for handing over their responsibilities, physical assets, and finances under their charge to the Association;
Step 5: Members who violate the law, contravene the Charter of the Association, or make serious mistakes that adversely affect the reputation of the Association will be removed from the membership list of the Association.

What is the scope of activities of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education?
Based on Article 4 of the Charter (amended and supplemented) of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education approved under Decision 275/QD-BNV of 2022, the scope of activities is defined as follows:
Scope of Activities
- The Association operates nationwide in the areas of promoting education, encouraging talent, and building a learning society.
- The Association is subject to state management by the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant ministries and central authorities concerning its educational promotion activities as prescribed by law.
- The Association is allowed to participate as a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Thus, the scope of activities of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education includes:
- Operating nationwide in the areas of promoting education, encouraging talent, and building a learning society.
- Being subject to state management by the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant ministries and central authorities concerning its educational promotion activities as prescribed by law.
- Being allowed to participate as a member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Based on Article 7 of the Charter (amended and supplemented) of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education approved under Decision 275/QD-BNV of 2022, the duties of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education are as follows:
- Comply with the legal regulations related to the organization and activities of the Association, not exploiting the Association's activities to harm national security, social order, ethics, fine customs, and traditions of the nation.
- Collaborate with organizations, social forces, and educational institutions to implement activities promoting education, encouraging talent, and building a learning society in a spirit of comprehensive and fundamental educational reform nationwide.
- Gather and unite members and social forces to enhance activities promoting education and encouraging talent, ensuring social justice, and creating opportunities for every citizen to engage in continuous and lifelong learning to improve professional skills, contributing high-quality human resources for national economic and social development.
- Encourage workers to have initiatives that effectively contribute to the nation’s economic and social development; support scholarships for poor students and reward students with high achievements in study and training.
- Develop forms of learning to support and encourage the learning of young and mature people as regulated by law.
- Propose to competent state agencies the policies that motivate the Association's educational promotion activities.
- Promote relationships and cooperation with domestic and international organizations as per legal regulations to share experiences and learn from each other in training, scientific research, application, technology transfer, seminars, conferences, study tours, consulting, and providing training services.
- The Association's finances must be used for the purposes of promoting education and encouraging talent, adhering to the principles of transparency and accountability as prescribed by law and this Charter.
