Vietnam: Plan to find and gather the remains of martyrs until 2030

On September 14, 2021, the Prime Minister of Vietnam promulgated Decision 1515/QD-TTg on plan to search for and gather martyrs' remains and identify martyrs' remains until 2030 and the following years.

According to this Decision, the following specific tasks will be completed by 2030:

- Searching and gathering about 15,000 martyrs' remains;

- Complete the search, gather and conclude the area and area with information on collective martyrs' graves;

- Basically ended the mission of searching and gathering the remains of martyrs abroad.

- Identifying the identity of the remains of martyrs with insufficient information by the DNA sample assessment method, obtained about 20,000 samples of martyrs' remains;

- Striving to verify and conclude that 60% of martyrs' graves lack information in martyr cemeteries by an empirical method.

From 2031 onwards, continue to search and collect martyrs' remains until there is no more information about martyrs' remains and martyrs' graves. At the same time, continue to identify the remains of martyrs for the missing martyrs' graves.

Decision 1515/QD-TTg of Vietnam takes effect from September 14, 2021.
