New regulations of Vietnam on suggesting amendments to laws related to urban planning and development

According to the Resolution, suggestions for the study and development of several laws related to urban planning and development are as follows:

- Laws that are studied and suggested for amendments:

(1) Study and review of the Law on State Budget (amended and supplemented)

(2) Development of the Law on Housing (amended)

(3) Development of the Law on Real Estate Trading (amended)

(4) Development of the Land Law (amended)

(5) Development of the Law on Employment (amended)

- Laws that are studied and newly developed:

(1) Study and development of the Law on Adjustment to Urban Management and Development

(2) Study and development of the Law on Adjustment to Water Supply and Drainage

(3) Study and development of the Law on Adjustment to Underground Space

Specific contents of suggestions for amendments to the system of standards of planning, construction, management, and sustainable development of urban areas:

- Review and amendments to the system of national technical standards and regulations in the field of urban planning, construction, management, and development consistent with international regulations and standards and actual situations in Vietnam.

- Separate regulations and standards of construction and selection of sustainable urban development models, suitable for each region, particularly:

+ Areas of hills, mountains, plateaus, and regions essential for national defense and security;

+ Urban areas with many historical relics, cultural heritages, and natural landscapes that must be preserved and protected.
