The Ministry of Health has just issued Decision 1462/QD-BYT in 2020 on "Temporary guidelines for quarantine at hotels for medical staff in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic."

Hotels and resorts implementing quarantine must meet the following general requirements:

- Serve only the purpose of COVID-19 quarantine, not other purposes;- Ensure essential living conditions: electricity, water, sanitation facilities, bathrooms;- Ensure proper ventilation;- Ensure security and safety;- Ensure fire and explosion prevention;- Convenient for travel, transportation of quarantined individuals, logistical supply, and waste transportation for treatment;- If conditions allow, equip each quarantine room with a TV and internet.

Additionally, the quarantine area must have guard posts at the gate and entrances of the hotel. The guard posts should have 24/7 security personnel (handled by the military forces); absolutely no unauthorized individuals are allowed into the hotel.
