According to information from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MOLISA) has just requested opinions from relevant ministries, sectors, and agencies on the draft proposal to the Government of Vietnam regarding the issuance of a Resolution adjusting pensions for female workers.
Translation:On February 24, 2017, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 19/2017/ND-CP prescribing salary policies for defense workers (CNQP) and seniority allowance policies for defense public employees (VCQP). This Decree takes effect from April 15, 2017, but the prescribed policies are implemented from July 1, 2016. The Decree covers numerous provisions; however, within the scope of this document, we will only address the new points regarding salary policies and allowance policies for CNQP and VCQP.

In this document, there are many activities aimed at taking care of the benefits for trade union members, offering practical benefits, and creating a marked difference compared to workers who are not trade union members and those who are trade union members.
Effective from July 1, 2017, the statutory pay rate will be adjusted from 1.21 million VND/month to 1.3 million VND/month. The adjustment of pensions, social insurance benefits, and preferential allowances for people with meritorious services will be increased by the same amount as the increase in the statutory pay rate.
