To be specific, currently, according to the regulations in Circular 15/2016/TT-BCA, the female enrollment rate is stipulated as follows:
Article 3. Female Enrollment Rate
The quota for new female enrollments into People's Public Security schools accounts for 10% for security and police work, fire prevention and fighting sectors; 15% for political, technical, logistical, and foreign languages sectors out of the total training targets of each sector and school; there is no limit on the preliminary registration and application rate for females into People's Public Security schools.
It can be seen that currently, the number of new female enrollments into the sectors of People's Public Security schools is limited as follows: 10% for security and police work, fire prevention and fighting sectors, and 15% for political, technical, logistical, and foreign languages sectors out of the total training targets of each sector and school.
However, this regulation will officially be abolished if this Draft is approved. Currently, the Draft no longer stipulates this control rate. If this provision in the Draft is approved, it will open up more opportunities for women to apply for the sectors in People's Public Security schools.
Additionally, the Draft has also changed some health conditions for both men and women when applying for regular undergraduate training in People’s Public Security, such as: Height from 164cm to 195cm for men, from 158cm to 180cm for women; the Body Mass Index (BMI) is calculated by weight (kilograms) divided by the square of height (meters) ranging from 18.5 to 30;... Currently, Circular 15 stipulates, men must have a height of 1.64m and weight of 48kg or more; women must have a height of 1.58m and weight of 45kg or more to meet the application standards.
