Vietnam: Organization of tourism activities in the forest without the forest owner's permission shall be fined up to VND 5 million

This is a featured content specified in Decree No. 35/2019/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government providing for penalties for administrative violations against regulations on forestry.

According to Decree No. 35/2019/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, a fine ranging from VND 1,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for organization of tourism activities or sightseeing in the forest without the forest owner's permission.

Also according to Decree No. 35/2019/NĐ-CP, a fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed for the commission of one of the following violations:

- Provision of services or performance of business activities in the forest without the forest owner's permission;

- Organization of vacation or entertainment activities within the strictly protected area of the special-use forest.

In addition to the above fines, the violator is compelled to restore the original condition which is changed. If any violation specified in this Article causes damage to the forest or forest products, the violator shall also incur penalties prescribed in Article 13 or Article 20 hereof.
