Vietnam: Cases where the certificate of eligibility to use the true quantity marking shall be invalidated

Recently, the Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam issued Circular No. 21/2014/TT-BKHCN on July 15, 2014 on measurement of pre-packed goods.

According to Circular No. 21/2014/TT-BKHCN of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, the certificate shall be invalidated in the cases below:

- The facility commits serious violations prescribed in Article 25 of this Circular;

- The facility fails to rectify its violations within the suspension period written in the notification of suspension;

- The certificate holder does not wish to keep using the true quantity marking;

- The certificate holder goes bankrupt or is dissolved as prescribed by law.

Note:

- The certifying body shall invalidate all or part of the certificate on a case-by-case basis.

- The notification of invalidation shall be sent to the applicant, the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality, the Department of Standards, Metrology, and Quality of the province where the certificate holder is located, and shall be posted on the website of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality.
