The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam issued Decision 4202/QD-BGDDT dated December 13, 2022 approving the capacity building program for school medical staff. As follows:
- Total: 08 modules and final exam.
- Length: 84 hours.

- At the end of each module, students are assessed through tests, group discussion results, or case practice results. This assessment is to determine the extent to which students have achieved the knowledge, attitude, and skill objectives in each module.
The results of each course are graded on a 10-point scale.
Students whose assessment results are less than 5 points are not qualified and must be re-evaluated. Students must accumulate enough satisfactory assessment points in all modules to participate in the final exam and practice.
- The final exam is built on the knowledge, skills, and professional requirements that students must achieve.
The final exam and practice test are graded on a 10-point scale. Students who score 5 or more will be assessed as satisfactory.
- The agency in charge of organizing the refresher course (Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, or Department of Education and Training, district-level medical center, training institution) shall make the decision to issue a certificate of completion of the entire course to students based on the assessment results.
- Based on the contents of the training program specified in this document, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam shall direct the organization to compile and appraise training materials. Training materials are compiled to follow the objectives, requirements to be achieved, content of each module, and topics that need to be supplemented and enhanced.
- Reporters and lecturers participating in training courses shall base themselves on training documents issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Health and refer to documents related to the content of the training program to build theoretical lectures and guide students in practice. Lectures by reporters and lecturers need to be compiled in different formats (Word, PowerPoint, video, etc.) so that students can easily access and learn.
The training takes the form of a full course or training for each module with additional and advanced topics; organize face-to-face or face-to-face training combined with online theory lessons.
- Methods of fostering skills ensure a combination of theory and practice between knowledge, experience, and practical skills. applying active teaching methods, applying digital technology, and diversifying teaching methods to help students acquire the most necessary knowledge and skills.
