Hanoi-Vietnam: Regulations on inspection and testing of structures within areas for detonating destruction of warhead under Circular 158

Recently, the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 158/2019/TT-BQP stipulating Vietnam technical regulations QCVN 08:2019/BQP on detonating destruction of high-explosive shells and grenades.

According to Circular 158/2019/TT-BQP, the structures within the area for detonating destruction of high-explosive shells and grenades. include: Command bunker; shelter bunker; bunker for firearms; bunker for primer explosives; bunker for munitions awaiting destruction; demolition field; firewater storage tank. The layout of the structures within the demolition area is shown in Diagram A4, Appendix A. Standard specification of the structures: Command bunker, shelter bunker, bunker for munitions awaiting destruction according to QCVN 02:2016/BQP.

Regarding the distance from the center of the demolition field to the structures specified in Table 2.

Demolition field: Ground; free of grass and flammable materials around.

Demolition pit:

- The demolition pit must be located within the demolition field;

- The number of demolition pits in one demolition event must not exceed five pits;

- The distance between the centers of the demolition pits must be greater than 10 m;

- Demolition pit size: Depending on the number of explosive shells stipulated in Table 1, the commander decides the size of the demolition pit but must ensure that the number of munitions as per regulation can be arranged and that the correct approved technical process is followed;

- The bottom of the demolition pit must be flat and dry.
