Hanoi-Vietnam: Promulgation of new examination contents in the Excellent Preschool Teacher Contest

The content and criteria for participation in the Excellent Preschool Teacher Contest in Vietnam are detailed in Article 6 of Circular 22/2019/TT-BGDDT, effective from February 12, 2020. To be specific:

Firstly, examination content:

- Conduct a specific educational activity according to the educational plan at the time of the Contest. The educational activities for participating in the Contest are organized for the first time in the group, keeping the original number of children in such group. Teachers are not allowed to pre-teach (practice teach) the educational activities to participate in the Contest in the academic year of the Contest organization. Teachers will be informed and given time to prepare for the educational activities within no more than 2 days before the examination date;

Secondly, participation criteria:

- Teachers participating in the school-level Contest must ensure the following criteria: Teachers must meet professional criteria at least at a good level in the year immediately preceding the Contest year, including criteria 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 as specified in Circular 26/2018/TT-BGDDT, dated October 8, 2018, issued by the Minister of Education and Training;

- Teachers participating in the district-level Contest must ensure the following criteria:

• Meet the criteria for participating in the school-level Contest;
• Have been recognized as excellent school-level teachers for at least one year within the 2 years prior to or in the year of the Contest.

- Teachers participating in the provincial-level Contest must ensure the following criteria:

• Meet the criteria for participating in the district-level Contest;
• Have been recognized as excellent district-level teachers for at least one year within the 2 years prior to or in the year of the Contest.
