Each National Park Has at Least One Specialized Meteorological and Hydrological Station

This is noteworthy content in Circular 30/2018/TT-BTNMT stipulating technical regulations on observation and provision of meteorological and hydrological information and data for specialized meteorological and hydrological stations.

According to Circular 30/2018/TT-BTNMT, specialized hydrometeorological stations must be arranged with the following densities:

- The distance between rain gauge stations should be from 10km to 15km in one of the following areas: hills; windward slopes; average annual rainfall from 1,600 mm or more; urban areas of grade III or above;- The distance between rain gauge stations should be from 15km to 20km in midland and plain areas;- To serve the calculation of water volume to reservoirs: on river and stream basins supplying water to reservoirs with a total capacity of 500,000m3 or more, rain gauge stations should be arranged from 10km to 15km apart; on river and stream branches flowing to reservoirs with a basin area of 100km2 or more, a water flow observation station should be set up;- Observation in national parks: each national park should have at least one meteorological station, ensuring the distance between stations is from 25km to 30km.
