The Ordinance on Mobile Police 2013 was passed by the National Assembly on December 23, 2013. One of the notable contents of this document is the regulation on the mobilization of Mobile Police.
To be specific, according to Article 10 of the Ordinance on Mobile Police 2013, the mobilization of mobile police is regulated as follows:
- The Minister of Public Security has the authority to mobilize Mobile Police units to perform tasks nationwide.
- The Commander of Mobile Police has the authority to mobilize Mobile Police units to the Battalion level under his command to perform tasks and promptly report to the Minister of Public Security; in cases requiring mobilization of larger forces or mobilization of Mobile Police units assigned to manage and use aircraft and ships, it must be reported and agreed upon by the Minister of Public Security.
- Directors of provincial and municipal police departments under central authority have the authority to mobilize Mobile Police units under their command to perform tasks stipulated in Article 7 of the Ordinance on Mobile Police 2013 according to plans approved by the competent authority within the managed area, promptly reporting to the Minister of Public Security and being responsible for their decisions.
- Commanders of independent regimental and battalion-level Mobile Police have the authority to mobilize forces under their command for search, rescue, disaster prevention, and mitigation and must promptly report to their superior commanders.
- Commanders of Mobile Police units have the authority to mobilize and use forces under their command to conduct armed activities according to training and exercise plans approved by the competent authority.
- The mobilization of Mobile Police during wartime or in an emergency state is implemented according to legal regulations.
- Within their tasks and authority, the Commander of Mobile Police and Directors of provincial and municipal police departments under central authority shall actively coordinate in mobilizing Mobile Police within the area.
