Code of Conduct for Telephone Communication by Police Officers

According to Circular 27/2017/TT-BCA, the rules for conduct and communication via telephone and other electronic means for the People's Public Security are stipulated as follows:

- During phone communication, officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security must state their name, title, working unit, and the exchange content fully and clearly; communication language must be civilized, polite, concise, and easy to understand; do not exchange secret content via the phone.- When using other electronic means, officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security must not access, store, disseminate, comment on, or share information, documents, articles, and images with content contrary to fine customs and traditions; contrary to the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party, policies and laws of the State, and regulations of the Public Security sector; do not introduce or use the name, image, and designation of the Public Security unit on social networking sites.

Additionally, when using means and equipment for Public Security work, it is required to:

- Regularly maintain, protect, and use assets and means equipped economically and effectively; study and use proficiently the technical equipment provided for job service.- Do not use assets and means for improper purposes or for personal purposes in any form.
