Areas of National Standards and National Technical Regulations according to Circular 46

On December 3, 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 46/2014/TT-BCT regarding the development and application of national standards and national technical regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Circular 46/2014/TT-BCT regulates the fields of national standards organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the fields of national technical regulations within the management scope of the Ministry of Industry and Trade as follows:

Fields of national standards organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade include:

  1. National standards on mechanics;

  2. National standards on metallurgy;

  3. National standards on electric power industry, new energy, renewable energy;

  4. National standards on petroleum;

  5. National standards on chemicals, industrial explosives, inorganic fertilizers;

  6. National standards on mining and mineral processing industry except for minerals used as building materials;

  7. National standards on consumer industry;

  8. National standards on food industry and other processing industries;

  9. National standards on industrial services, commerce, e-commerce;

  10. Other fields of national standards as required by the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade from time to time.

Fields of national technical regulations within the management scope of the Ministry of Industry and Trade include:

  1. Industrial technical safety (safety of pressure-bearing equipment, lifting equipment, safety of machinery and equipment with specific safety requirements for industrial sectors);

  2. Electrical safety in the management, operation of electrical equipment, production, distribution, transmission of electricity;

  3. Safety in mining, mineral processing (excluding minerals used as building materials), mining, petroleum (excluding equipment, means of exploration, exploitation of petroleum at sea);

  4. Chemical safety (including pharmaceuticals), industrial explosives, inorganic fertilizers;

  5. Safety in the production of machinery, metallurgy, energy;

  6. Industrial environmental safety;

  7. Consumer industrial safety;

  8. Food industry safety and other processing industries;

  9. Services in the industrial sector;

  10. Services related to commercial activities;

  11. E-commerce;

  12. Other fields as required by the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade from time to time.
