Addition of 07 legal projects to the Law and Ordinance Development Program in 2025 in Vietnam

According to the delegation in Resolution 65/2025/UBTVQH15, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly has added the following law projects to the Law and Ordinance Development Program in 2025:

- Submit to the National Assembly for opinions and approval at the 9th Extraordinary Session (February 2025) following the process in one session and the shortened sequence, the Law amending and supplementing certain articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly, the Law on the Organization of the Government of Vietnam (amended), and the Law on the Organization of Local Government (amended) project;

- Submit to the National Assembly for opinions and approval at the 9th Session (May 2025) following the process in one session, the Law amending and supplementing certain articles of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy project;

- Submit to the National Assembly for opinions at the 9th Session (May 2025) and for approval at the 10th Session (May 2025), the Atomic Energy Law (amended) project.

In case the law project is well-prepared by the Government of Vietnam and the discussion process at the National Assembly reaches a high consensus, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will consider, cooperate with the Government of Vietnam to submit to the National Assembly for approval at the 9th Session following the process in one session;

- Submit to the National Assembly for opinions at the 10th Session (May 2025), the Law on Execution of Temporary Detention, Temporary Custody, and Prohibition from Leaving the Place of Residence, and the Law amending and supplementing certain articles of the Criminal Procedure Law project.

In cases where the law projects are well-prepared by the Government of Vietnam and the discussion process at the National Assembly reaches high consensus, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly will consider, cooperate with the Government of Vietnam to submit to the National Assembly for approval at the 10th Session following the process in one session.
