When is the rhetorical question taught in the literature program?
According to the General Education Program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for the grade 8 Literature course are as follows:
VIETNAMESE LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE
- Meaning of some relatively common idioms and proverbs
- Nuances of word meanings and word choice
- Onomatopoeia and onomatopoeic words: characteristics and effects
- The meaning of some common Sino-Vietnamese elements (ví dụ: vô, hữu) and the meaning of words containing those Sino-Vietnamese elements (ví dụ: vô tư, vô hình, hữu quan, hữu hạn)
- Particles and exclamations: characteristics and functions
- Independent elements in a sentence: characteristics and functions
- Declarative, interrogative, imperative, exclamatory sentences; affirmative and negative sentences: characteristics and functions
- Rhetorical device of inversion, rhetorical question: characteristics and effects
- Explicit and implicit meanings of a sentence
- Deductive, inductive, parallel, and composite paragraphs: characteristics and functions
- Types of text and genres
+ Narrative text: a story about a trip or a social activity
+ Expressive text: six-syllable, seven-syllable poems; a paragraph expressing feelings about a six or seven-syllable poem
+ Argumentative text: thesis, argument points, reasoning, and evidence; a discussion on a life issue; an analysis of a literary work
+ Informative text: objective information, subjective opinion, and the purpose of the text; explanatory text about a natural phenomenon; a book introduction; a petition
- Common language and local language: function and value
- Social jargon: function and value
- Non-verbal communication tools: images, data, charts, etc.
Thus, the rhetorical question will be taught in the Grade 8 Literature program.
Is it necessary to ensure objectivity when evaluating grade 8 students in Vietnam?
According to Article 4 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for evaluating Grade 8 students include:
- Evaluations are based on the requirements outlined in the General Education Program.
- Evaluations must ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness, fairness, honesty, and objectivity.
- Evaluations are conducted using a variety of methods, forms, techniques, and tools; combining regular assessments and periodic evaluations.
- Evaluations aim for the progress of students; emphasizing encouragement and motivation for their efforts in training and study; avoiding comparisons between students.
The regulation outlines the requirements for ensuring objectivity when evaluating grade 8 students.
