1. What is the Journal of Social Insurance?

- Social Insurance Magazine is a non-business unit under Vietnam Social Insurance; has the function to help the General Director of Vietnam Social Security propagate the guidelines and lines of the Party and the policies and laws of the State in the field of social security; in which social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance policies are the main pillars, and to publicize the implementation of these regimes and policies.

The magazine has an international transaction name in English, Social Security Magazine, abbreviated as SSM.

- The magazine is under the direct and comprehensive direction and management of the General Director. The magazine operates under the Press Law and the license is granted by the competent authority in accordance with the law.

The magazine has legal status, its own seal, and its own account. Its head office is located in Hanoi, and the representative of Social Insurance Magazine is in Ho Chi Minh City.

2. Duties and powers of the Social Insurance Journal in Vietnam

The duties and powers of the Social Insurance Journal in Vietnam include:

- Developing and submitting to the General Director the programs, annual and five-year plans, projects, and projects on the development of the Journal, and organizing the implementation after they are approved.

- Organizing the editing, publishing, and distribution of printed publications and e-magazines to ensure compliance with the principles, purposes, and provisions of the law.

- Advising and submitting to the General Director for approval the Editorial Council, helping to review and improve the quality of in-depth scientific research articles on social insurance, unemployment insurance regimes and policies, and health insurance.

- Information on theoretical research, criticism, and evaluation, exchange of professional experience in management, dissemination of knowledge on social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance at home and abroad.

Publication of research results on theory and practice in the fields of social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance.

An in-depth forum with lots of forecasting information, contributing to the planning and implementation of policies on social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance. Reflecting and orienting public opinion on social issues of concern, policies, and laws on social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance; is a forum for people and employees to exchange ideas about social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance.

- Researching and renovating content, applying information technology, and developing various types of multimedia communication for e-magazines.

- Coordinating with the Department of International Cooperation in implementing external information communication.

- Receiving mail from readers; providing hotline information; and coordinating with related units to clarify issues reflected by readers for information on printed publications and e-journals.

- Exploiting socialization resources; transactions, signing advertising contracts, information dissemination within the functions and tasks of the journal.

- Associating and signing with other press agencies, legal entities, organizations, and individuals with domestic business registration to carry out propaganda tasks in the fields of social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance, the unit organizes to perform tasks within the scope of its functions in accordance with the principles and purposes of the journal and the provisions of law.

- Participating in scientific research; administrative reform; international cooperation; emulation and reward, applying the quality management system according to the national standard TCVN; training and retraining within the assigned functions and tasks of the unit.

- Managing the organizational apparatus, including civil servants, public employees, and employees; finances, assets, and other sources of revenue for the Journal; and fulfilling obligations to the state budget.

Implement reporting, accounting, statistical, clerical, and archiving regimes according to the provisions of law and management decentralization of Vietnam Social Insurance; build and use a team of collaborators to perform the tasks of the Journal in accordance with the regulations of the State and the Industry.

- Journals are entitled to:

+ Attending industry conferences and division meetings; being asked to lead units of the Industry to provide information and documents on the fields of responsibility of the unit to perform the functions and tasks of the Journal;

+ Organize meetings, seminars, and lectures on expertise and professionalism in service of the Journal's propaganda and publication.

- Performing other tasks assigned by General Director.
