Working Regulations for Teachers of University Preparatory Schools

This is a new regulation added in Circular 15/2017/TT-BGDDT, amending and supplementing the working policies for high school teachers issued together with Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT.

The working time for pre-university teachers is 42 weeks (similar to primary school teachers, lower secondary school teachers, and upper secondary school teachers). In which:

- 28 weeks are dedicated to teaching and educational activities according to the academic year plan;- 12 weeks are allocated for studying, professional development, material creation, scientific research, and other activities according to the academic year plan;- 1 week is for preparing for the new academic year;- 1 week is for summarizing the academic year.

Additionally, pre-university teachers are also entitled to the following teaching hour reduction policies:

- Pre-university class homeroom teachers are entitled to a reduction of 3 periods/week;- Female pre-university teachers with children under 12 months are entitled to a reduction of 3 periods/week;- Deputy heads of specialized groups are entitled to a reduction of 1 period/week.

Circular 15/2017/TT-BGDDT takes effect from August 1, 2017.
