Vietnam: Supplement 05 border gates which allow foreigners to enter or exit by using electronic visas

Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 17/2019/ND-CP on amendments to Decree No. 07/2017/ND-CP prescribing processes and procedures for pilot issuance of electronic visa to foreigners entering Vietnam.

Decree No. 17/2019/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government supplements 05 border gates which allow foreigners to enter or exit by using electronic visas, specifically as follows:

Road border gates, including:

- Tay Trang international border gate, Dien Bien province;

- Na Meo international border gate, Thanh Hoa province;

- La Lay international border gate, Quang Tri province;

Seaport border gates, including:

- Duong Dong seaport border gate, Kien Giang province;

- Chan May seaport border gate, Thua Thien – Hue province.

Concurrently, Decree No. 17/2019/ND-CP also amends and supplements the list of 35 countries of which citizens are eligible for pilot issuance of electronic visa.
