Vietnam: Approving the School Health Program for the period 2021-2025
On October 2, 2021, the Prime Minister of Vietnam promulgated Decision 1660/QD-TTg approving the Health Plan school for the period 2021-2025.

According to this Decision, the beneficiaries of this Program are students who are being nurtured, cared for and educated at schools.
The content of the Program on care, protection and management of students' health in schools includes the following criteria:
- 80% of schools ensure the conditions for performing school health work, taking care of students' health as prescribed.
- 85% of schools carry out health checks at the beginning of the school year according to regulations.
- 50% of schools carry out the assessment and early detection of risk factors for non-communicable diseases and mental health for students.
- 75% of schools provide enough drinking water and clean water for daily life and activities in the school to ensure quality according to regulations.
- 100% of schools have toilets for students, of which 50% of schools have enough toilets for students according to regulations and 80% of toilets ensure hygienic conditions.
- 80% of schools meet safety school standards; 75% of classrooms meet lighting requirements (illumination not less than 300 Lux); 50% of high schools arrange tables and chairs to ensure the size according to the height group of students, suitable for students with disabilities.
