The Prime Minister of Vietnam has just issued the Decision No. 2205/QĐ-TTg approving the intellectual property development program by 2030.
According to the Decision No. 2205/QĐ-TTg, the intellectual property development program by 2030 was approved by the Prime Minister of Vietnam with specific targets as follows:
- Targets by 2025:
+ 100% of universities and research institutes are propagated, raised awareness and supported to protect intellectual property rights for scientific research results and innovation;
+ At least 40% of products are recognized as national products,... and products associated with the One Commune One Product Program (OCOP Program) are supported for protection registration, management and development of intellectual property, control of origin and quality when protected.
- Targets by 2030:
+ The number of patent applications filed by research institutes and universities increased by an average of 16 - 18% per year; the number of applications for plant variety protection increased by an average of 12 - 14%;
+ At least 60% of products are recognized as national products,... and products associated with the One Commune One Product Program (OCOP Program) are supported for protection registration, management and development of intellectual property, control of origin and quality when protected;
+ The number of trademark registration applications of Vietnamese enterprises increases by an average of 8-10% per year.
