The Ministry of Health of Vietnam has issued Official Dispatch 787/BYT-ATTP dated 20/02/2023 on strengthening measures to ensure food safety (food safety) for collective kitchens.

According to Vietnam's Official Dispatch 787/BYT-ATTP, in order to proactively ensure food safety and effectively prevent food poisoning in school kitchens, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam recommends:

- Strengthening interdisciplinary inspection and examination, particularly in the health and education sectors, in collaboration with the school board and medical facility leaders, in monitoring and inspecting food safety regulations from food origin, processing, preservation, transportation, food delivery, three-step verification, and storing food samples in school kitchens and school meal facilities.

- Early detection and firm handling of food safety regulations violations in accordance with the law; publicizing violations in the media as soon as possible to warn the community.

- In addition to the above regulations, educational institutions must strictly adhere to the provisions of Vietnam's Joint Circular 08/2008/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT and Joint Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT.

More details can be found in Vietnam's Official Dispatch 787/BYT-ATTP dated February 20, 2023.
