Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam issued Dispatch 1518/BVHTTDL-TCDL on requesting the implementation of a COVID-19 safety assessment of tourist accommodation establishments nationwide.
According to the Official Dispatch, the Ministry of Vietnam proposed the People's Committees of provinces and cities in Vietnam to request:
- Tourist accommodation establishments to publish their QR codes in the lobby or at an easily noticed location so that tourists can check their safety before using their services and supervise COVID-19 prevention and control via the “safe Vietnam travel” application.

- All tourist accommodation establishments to register, make regular assessments and make updates to the national COVID-19 safety system according to guidelines of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam in Official Dispatch No. 4159/BVHTTDL-TCDL dated November 09, 2020.
- Tourist accommodation establishments suspending their operation to register and check the “temporarily closed establishment” box on the system.
- Tourist accommodation establishments to enhance inspection, supervision and timely and strict handling of tourist accommodation establishments failing to adopt COVID -19 prevention and control measures of competent authorities.
- Tourist accommodation establishments to permit only tourist accommodation establishments meeting COVID-19 safety requirements to receive and serve tourists.
