On June 10, 2024, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 3166/BYT-KCB regarding ensuring medical services for the High School Graduation Examination and the university and vocational education admissions in 2024.
To ensure the health of candidates and their families, exam supervisors, and the Examination Board, and to ensure food safety, environmental hygiene, and disease prevention at examination venues, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests the Departments of Health of provinces and central-affiliated cities, and hospitals under the Ministry of Health to implement the following tasks:
- The Department of Health shall develop a detailed plan for medical services for the Examination: Ensure medical emergency services, disaster emergency services (fire, traffic accidents, storms, floods), ensure environmental hygiene, prevent summer epidemics, and ensure food safety.
- Implement proactive epidemic prevention measures during the National High School Graduation Examination and the university and vocational education admissions period at the examination venues and within the province or city; establish mobile epidemic prevention teams and be ready to deploy response measures in case of outbreaks.
- Hospitals shall prepare 5 - 10 hospital beds and ensure the availability of essential medicines and equipment ready to accept and treat patients.
- Coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to organize inspections and supervision of the preparation and implementation of medical service measures for the Examination. Assign a focal point officer (specify full name, mobile phone number, email) to maintain 24/24 hour communication with the local Examination Council.
