Scope of professional​ knowledge of real estate brokerage training in Vietnam

Article 4 of Circular 04/2024/TT-BXD stipulates the scope of professional​ knowledge in the framework program for training and fostering real estate brokerage knowledge in Vietnam from August 1, 2024. Professional knowledge about real estate brokerage has a total duration of 24 lessons, including the following 02 subjects and content:

Subject 1: Overview of real estate brokerage services, including some main content as follows:

- Introduction to real estate brokerage services;

- The role of real estate brokerage in the real estate market;

- Principles of real estate brokerage activities;

- Conditions for conducting real estate brokerage services and professional requirements of a real estate broker;

- Factors influencing the development of the real estate brokerage profession;

- Experiences of other countries regarding real estate brokerage services;

- Professional ethics of a real estate broker.

Subject 2: real estate brokerage processes and skills, including some main content as follows:

- Collecting information about real estate supply and demand;

- Identifying the target and parties involved in real estate brokerage transactions;

- Preparing real estate brokerage transaction dossiers;

- Handling mortgage documentation for real estate;

- Timelines and steps to execute a real estate brokerage transaction;

- Real estate marketing;

- Communication and negotiation skills in real estate transactions;

- Skills in offering, listing, and advertising real estate;

- Organizing and managing a real estate brokerage organization;

- Contract drafting skills;

- Managing legal risks in real estate transactions;

- Application of information technology and social media in real estate business.

Practice and final examination

According to Article 5 of Circular 04/2024/TT-BXD, the practice content has a total duration of 16 lessons, including the following topics: Practical research on real estate brokerage activities at a real estate brokerage organization and writing a report.

The final examination content has a total duration of 02 lessons, including foundational knowledge and professional knowledge sections:

- Examination duration: 120 minutes

- Examination format: Essay, multiple-choice, or a combination of both.

Circular 04/2024/TT-BXD takes effect in Vietnam from August 1, 2024.
