Primary School Teachers Are Prohibited from Forcing Students to Take Extra Classes for Material Gain

This is notable content in Circular 28/2020/TT-BGDDT issuing the Charter of Primary Schools promulgated by the Ministry of Education and Training on September 04, 2020.

According to Circular 28/2020/TT-BGDDT, conduct and dress code of teachers and staff shall comply with the regulations of the education sector and the law, in which attention should be paid to:

- Not distorting educational content or teaching incorrect information;- Not cheating in assessments or intentionally misjudging student educational outcomes;- Not forcing students to take extra lessons for material gain;- Not skipping classes, abandoning teaching sessions, or arbitrarily cutting educational content;- Not insulting the dignity and honor or infringing upon the physical integrity of others; not smoking; drinking alcohol or beer; disrupting security and order.

Furthermore, staff shall not obstruct or create difficulties in supporting, serving the teaching, and educating students, as well as other tasks of the school.

Note: Teachers and staff who violate the provisions of these Regulations shall be handled in accordance with the law.
