Modification of the Time Limit for Archive Retrieval and Response to Archive Retrieval Requests for Citizen Identification

Recently, the Ministry of Public Security has just signed and issued Circular 39/2019/TT-BCA amending and supplementing certain articles of Circular 10/2016/TT-BCA regulating the citizen identification archives work.

In cases where there is a request for information retrieval and exploitation of documents to issue a Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) or National Identification Card (CMND), the time for the CCCD archival management agency to conduct the search and respond with results is based on the following:

- For agencies requesting searches in urban districts, cities, district-level towns: No more than 1.5 working days for the issuance, renewal, or re-issuance of CCCD (reduced by 1.5 days compared to the current regulations), no more than 3 working days for the issuance and renewal of CMND, and no more than 7 working days for the re-issuance of CMND.- For agencies requesting searches in mountainous, highland, border, and island districts: No more than 5 working days for the issuance, renewal, or re-issuance of CCCD (reduced by 5 days) and no more than 10 working days for the issuance, renewal, or re-issuance of CMND.- For agencies requesting searches in other areas: No more than 3 working days for the issuance, renewal, or re-issuance of CCCD (reduced by 4 days) and no more than 7 working days for the issuance, renewal, or re-issuance of CMND.
