Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam of Vietnam requests the implementation of activities to stimulate domestic tourism in 2024​

Following the directives of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam to develop comprehensive, rapid, and sustainable tourism with the motto "Unique Products - Professional Services - Convenient and Simple Procedures - Competitive Prices - Clean and Beautiful Environment - Safe, Civilized, and Friendly Destination";

To concretize the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, create high consensus and unity in awareness and action of the entire tourism industry, related sectors, localities, businesses, and people, promote tourism development, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam directs and requests localities to implement a domestic tourism stimulus program with the theme "Vietnamese travel Vietnam - Vietnam I love" to anticipate the holiday April 30 - May 1 and the summer tourism season of 2024.

To successfully organize the above program, the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-governed cities are requested to direct the levels of government, relevant departments to urgently implement the following contents:

(1) Preside, cooperate with agencies, organizations, businesses, and residential communities to launch the program "Vietnamese travel Vietnam - Vietnam I love" in the area with specific contents, new tourism programs, quality service packages aimed at enhancing tourist experience, diversifying products, and improving service quality.

(2) Departments of Tourism/Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Tourism Promotion Centers to organize programs introducing destinations, linking tourism development; ensure a safe, friendly, and quality tourism environment.

(3) Widely inform about the operating times of tourist areas and spots, tourism products, and services in the area ready to attract tourists during the holiday April 30 - May 1 and the 2024 summer tourism season; at the same time, build and complete regulations and guidelines to ensure security, safety, cleanliness, and civilization for tourism activities, tourists, workers, and local residential communities.

(4) Motivate and encourage related businesses in the area to participate; guide, monitor, and urge businesses to seriously implement and ensure service quality when participating in stimulus programs.

(5) Assign tourism management departments and local governments to regularly inspect and control the overall quality of tourism services, and the implementation of stimulus programs in the area; compile and report the results of the stimulus program implementation to the provincial/city People's Committees and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam (via the National Administration of Tourism of Vietnam) before January 15, 2025, for evaluation and lessons for subsequent activities and programs.
