List of Communal Administrative Units in Difficult Areas

Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has signed Decision No. 1010/QD-TTg stipulating the administrative units at the commune level in difficult areas.

According to Decision 1010/QD-TTg, the communes in difficult areas include:

- Communes in regions III, II according to Decision 582/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, except for region II communes that have met the new rural standards;- Communes listed in Decision 900/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, except for region I communes, region II communes that have met the new rural standards according to Decision 582/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, safe zone communes, border communes in the plains area;- Communes listed in Decree 34/2014/ND-CP, except for region I communes, region II communes that have met the new rural standards according to Decision 582/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, communes in the plains area;- Communes listed in Decision 131/QD-TTg, except for region I communes, region II communes that have met the new rural standards according to Decision 582/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister;- Communes that have been amended, supplemented, or replaced from the above lists.

Decision 1010/QD-TTg comes into effect from August 10, 2018.
