On December 22, 2017, the Ministry of Health issued Circular 47/2017/TT-BYT stipulating the list of prohibited substances and the restricted scope of use in insecticidal and antimicrobial preparations for domestic and medical use in Vietnam.
Accordingly:
- There are 31 prohibited active substances (Appendix 01) and 13 limited-use active substances (Appendix 02);- Formulations specified in Appendix 02 that have been licensed for circulation before the effective date of Circular 47 shall only be advertised within the scope of effects recorded on the circulation license.

- CAS number:- Alpha hexachlorocyclohexane: 319-84-6;- Benzene hexachloride (BHC): 89609-19-8;- Hexachlorobenzene: 118-74-1;- Heptachlor: 76-44-8;- Isobenzen: 297-78-9;- Monocrotophos: 6923-22-4;- Methamidophos: 10265-92-6.
- Some limited-use active substances:
- Agnique™ MMF: 52292-17-8;- Bromchlophos: 53095-31-1;- Fenitrothion: 122-14-5;- Malathion: 121-75-5.
Circular 47/2017/TT-BYT takes effect from February 15, 2018, replacing Circular 25/2011/TT-BYT.
