Increase in standard preferential allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution from July 1, 2024

Decree 77/2024/ND-CP has amended Clause 1 Article 3 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP as amended and supplemented at Clause 2 Article 1 of Decree 55/2023/ND-CP, increasing the standard allowance for people with meritorious services to the revolution in Vietnam from 2,055,000 VND to 2,789,000 VND.

Additionally, Decree 77/2024/ND-CP also amends and replaces several other contents in Decree 75/2021/ND-CP as follows:

• Amends Clause 2 Article 6 of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP regarding concentrated health recuperation with a spending level of 1.8 times the standard level per person per session. Spending contents include:

  • Food expenses during recuperation;

  • Essential medication;

  • Gifts for the subjects;

  • Sightseeing;

  • Other spending items directly serving the subjects during recuperation (maximum 10% of the concentrated health recuperation spending level), including: towels, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, photographs, health consultations, functional rehabilitation, newspapers, cultural and sports activities, and other spending items serving the subjects of recuperation.

• Replaces Appendix I, Appendix II, Appendix III issued with Decree 55/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing several articles of Decree 75/2021/ND-CP with Appendix I, Appendix II, Appendix III issued with Decree 77/2024/ND-CP, specifically:

  • Appendix I: Monthly allowance and subsidy levels for people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives;

  • Appendix II: Monthly preferential allowance levels for war invalids and persons entitled to the same policies as war invalids;

  • Appendix III: Monthly preferential allowance levels for category B war invalids.
