This is a notable content of the Official Dispatch No. 9740/VPCP-V.I on the implementation of the recommendations of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam on citizen reception, settlement of complaints and denunciations.
According to the Official Dispatch No. 9740/VPCP-V.I of Vietnam’s Government, in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of citizen reception, letter handling, and settlement of complaints and denunciations, the Prime Minister and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh requested Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Governmental agencies and Presidents of People's Committees of provinces and central-affiliated cities, relevant agencies and organizations, on the basis of comments and assessments of the National Assembly Standing Committee, to take specific measures to rectify and overcome shortcomings and limitations, and organize the strict implementation of recommendations of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Concurrently, request the Government Inspector to perform:
- Assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Ministry of Justice and relevant agencies in, studying and recommending to competent authorities to promulgate regulations on conditions for reconsidering the legally effective decision on settlement of administrative complaints, the statute of limitations for initiating lawsuits has expired but citizens still continue to complain;
