Hanoi-Vietnam: Official application of centralized isolation for all people entering Vietnam from March 21, 2020

The Vietnam National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control has just issued Official Dispatch 1440/CV-BCD on the application of isolation for all people entering Vietnam to prevent and control COVID-19.

The Vietnam National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control requests the relevant Ministries and the People’s Committees of provinces and municipalities to implement the following contents:

- Continue to implement Official Dispatch 1338/CV-BCĐ dated March 17, 2020;

- Organize the centralized isolation for all people entering Vietnam from countries and territories starting from 0:00 hours on March 21, 2020;- In case an entrant exhibits signs of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, they shall be immediately transferred to a medical facility for isolation, treatment, and sample testing;

- Entrants holding diplomatic or official passports, if in normal health conditions, without any signs of illness, and with a commitment from the representative agency to ensure isolation conditions, may be isolated at the representative agency or residence until 14 days from the date of entry;

- Special cases must have written approval from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant ministries.
