Social Insurance of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued Notice 2298/TB-BHXH regarding the direct payment of medical examination and treatment costs covered by the health insurance and co-payment costs exceeding 06 months statutory pay rate.

The individual holding the health insurance card who participates continuously for 05 years and incurs co-payment costs exceeding 6 months statutory pay rate (as of July 1, 2018, is VND 8,340,000) will be reimbursed the difference exceeding 06 months statutory pay rate.

Reimbursement procedures will be accepted according to the direct payment dossier, which includes:

- Health insurance card with the line: "Time meeting the requirement of continuous 05 years participation..." or a confirmation of 05 years continuous participation;- Photo identification documents (copy) valid at the time the health insurance medical costs arose, and the original hospital fee invoice.

Direct reimbursement procedure for health insurance medical costs:

- Hospital discharge papers, surgical certificate, emergency certificate, death certificate, prescription, X-ray indication, ultrasound, laboratory tests, etc. (photocopy with certification of having seen the original);- Original hospital fee invoice.
