Get rid of foreign language and informatics certificates for market managers

On January 20, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 02/2022/TT-BCT stipulating codes, professional standards, and salary classification for the ranks of market management civil servants.

Accordingly, the requirement for foreign language and informatics certificates is abolished for the ranks of market management civil servants.

For example, a market senior controller must meet the following training and retraining standards:

- Possessing a university degree or higher with a major relevant to the field of operation of the market management force;

- Possess an advanced diploma in political theory or an advanced degree in political - administrative theory or a certificate of political theory level equivalent to advanced political theory issued by a competent authority; (Compared to the current one, remove the requirement for a bachelor's degree in politics)

- Having a certificate of state management knowledge training for civil servants holding the rank of senior and equivalent specialists.

(Currently, it is also required to have a foreign language certificate with a level equivalent to level 4 of the Vietnam Foreign Language Competency Framework and a computer certificate with a standard level of basic information technology skills. according to the law).

Thus, the new regulation has removed the requirement for foreign language and informatics certificates for market managers.

Circular 02/2022/TT-BCT takes effect from April 1, 2022 and replaces Circular 09/2018/TT-BCT .
