On April 22, 2024, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 2045/BYT-KCB regarding ensuring medical examination, treatment, and emergency response for traffic accidents during the April 30 and May 1, 2024 holidays.
Pursuant to Official Telegram 36/CD-TTg in 2024, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests agencies to direct their affiliated units to carry out the following tasks effectively:
- Ensure full duty in four levels: leadership duty, professional duty, administrative-logistical duty, and security-self-defense duty.
- Organize emergency response and medical examination and treatment effectively, ensuring that all emergency patients are examined and treated, not to deny or delay handling of emergency cases. For cases beyond the facility's capacity or specialty, initial emergency stabilization should be conducted, with full explanation provided to the patient and their family before transferring to another medical facility.
- Assign external emergency duty staff, ready and promptly responsive to mass accident emergencies, serious traffic accidents, disasters involving large crowds, etc., if they occur within the locality.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene, prevent food poisoning, drowning, stampedes, etc., alert of accidents at tourist sites with large crowds.
- Standby for reporting:
+ Ensure 24/24 hotline standby to be ready to direct, coordinate, support, and respond in necessary cases.
In case of special developments such as disaster emergencies, mass accidents, food poisoning, and other special cases, units are requested to promptly report to the direct management agency via hotline and also quickly report in writing on the special developments situation to promptly resolve.
+ Medical facilities must report daily online data on the situation of medical examination, treatment, and Traffic Accident emergency response on the website cdc.kcb.vn (using the Tet 2024 duty report account, support email cdc.kcb@gmail.com, reporting time at 8 AM daily, from April 27 - May 2, 2024).
All medical facilities with hospital beds are required to implement this, and even if there are no medical data arising, they must still submit reports.
+ Professional management agencies (Departments of Health of Vietnam, Ministry of Health of Vietnam) must compile and report the entire holiday period data at 8 AM on May 2, 2024, on the online reporting site cdc.kcb.vn (using the Tet 2024 duty report account).
