This is a notable point mentioned in Circular 22/2020/TT-BGTVT, which stipulates the management of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from aircraft in civil aviation activities in Vietnam, issued on September 28, 2020.

Specifically, Article 9 of Circular 22/2020/TT-BGTVT stipulates that the aircraft operator must submit an emissions report to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam by March 1 each year to compile a database on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions in Vietnamese civil aviation. The data collection period is from January 1 to December 31 each year.

Additionally, emissions reports from international flights of aircraft operators with annual CO2 emissions exceeding 10,000 tons from aircraft with a maximum takeoff weight greater than 5,700 kg must be verified according to the guidelines of Annex 16, Volume 4; and submitted to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam by May 31 each year. The data collection period is from January 1 to December 31 each year.

Note: The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is responsible for reviewing the Emissions Report and Verification Report according to the guidelines of Annex 16, Volume 4.
