Adjustments to the frequency bands allocated for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) systems for socio-economic development in Vietnam

On October 4, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Decision 15/2024/QD-TTg amending and supplementing several articles of Decision 71/2013/QD-TTg on the National Radio Frequency Spectrum Planning, which had been amended and supplemented by several articles according to Decision 38/2021/QD-TTg.

According to  Decision 15/2024/QD-TTg dated October 4, 2024, the amendment and supplementation of clause 2, Article 9 of the National radio frequency spectrum planning issued with Decision 71/2013/QD-TTg, which was amended and supplemented by several articles according to Decision 38/2021/QD-TTg are as follows:

VTN9 includes the frequency bands 1427-1518 MHz, 1900-2010 MHz, 2110-2200 MHz, 2300-2400 MHz, and 2500-2600 MHz, designated for IMT mobile information systems to facilitate economic and social development.

In clause 2, Article 9 of the National radio frequency spectrum planning issued with Decision 71/2013/QD-TTg, VTN9 includes the frequency bands 1900-1980 MHz and 2110-2170 MHz designated for IMT mobile information systems.

More details can be found in Decision 15/2024/QD-TTg, which takes effect in Vietnam from October 4, 2024.
